The Album Cover Challenge was a campaign focused on helping makeup enthusiasts have fun and get the motivation to create. The rationale was to show how colors on any music album cover of one’s choice could be recreated using makeup or a full transformation of hair and make up.

Within less than 2 weeks, we had 100+ looks by different women based in Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Australia, and the UK. This video with the first set of looks had over 1,000 comments. This blog tells this story through pictures of my favorite looks from part 1 and 2 of the challenge, reviews from participants, Sauti Sol’s comments and more. Part two of the challenge was based on the Kenyan Afropop band’s, Sauti Sol’s, ‘Midnight Train’ album cover.
